About

Why BIP's List is different.

BIP's List is a Film-First evaluation platform. Every ranking on this site is backed by full All-22 tape, a scout's written report, and internal peer review — no shortcuts and no second-hand narrative.

What we don't rank on

The whole industry is built around these four inputs. None of them decide a spot on our board.

What we do rank on

Our scouts have playing and coaching experience across multiple levels of football. That's what lets them evaluate the traits the stat sheet doesn't capture:

Technique

Hand placement, footwork, pad level — the mechanics the stat sheet never captures.

Processing

How fast a player reads the picture in front of them and executes the right response.

Leverage

Winning the angle, the gap, the rep — the geometry of football the tape reveals.

Discipline

Assignment soundness, eye control, not giving up a play with a wasted step.

Situational awareness

Down-and-distance, clock management, coverage recognition in context.

This expertise is what makes BIP's List a premier evaluation platform — trusted by fans, coaches, and personnel alike.

How a ranking gets on this site

  1. 01Full All-22 film.No cutups, no highlight reels. If we haven't watched the tape, the player is not ranked.
  2. 02Written scouting report. Every graded player has a named analyst and an itemized list of games watched — full transparency on who made the call.
  3. 03Internal peer review. Grades are reviewed by the lead scout for that position group before the ranking lands on the public board.
  4. 040–99 film grade, 1–5 stars. Six position- specific trait scores, weighted by NFL translation evidence. See the full rubric on the grading page.
