What the tape shows
Start of his film are all of his interceptions, but I liked the second half of his tape much better just seeing him in coverage. Chris Thompson is a CB who plays with great patience and is explosive out of his breaks. Start Some of his scheme asks him to open up his hips early in off man in Quarters, When he is square in off man, he's patient, maintains his leverage and extremely explosive out of his break. Though he's undersized, his press technique will allow him to be successful against any size receiver. Plays Press with Hop technique vs motor, doesn't give much ground and does a great job of staying square and not allowing a free release. Smooth hips in off man to get in and out of transitions. Really good football player who can play Outside CB Or Nickel. Multiple interceptions and ability to make things happen with the ball in his hands. Never panics in coverage, extremely confident DB who has the 'Dawg' mentality everyone looks for. Didn't see too much true zone on his tape, mainly Quarters Match so couldn't give a higher grade there.
