Donaldson's story is genuinely unique in this class. He arrived at West Virginia as a tight end recruit, spent a year in that role, then transitioned to running back in 2023 — a position he had never formally played — and immediately became WVU's featured back. After Ohio State lost its backfield to the 2025 draft, Donaldson transferred as a veteran presence and scored 10 more touchdowns despite a modest 361-yard output. He's a throwback: 6-2, 230 pounds, 40 career rushing touchdowns, and the kind of physicality that every goal-line committee spot is designed for. onaldson is the most physically imposing back in this class. He keeps his legs churning through contact with a lower-body power that is disproportionate to most college backs — he gets stood up by initial contact and continues driving through it for two or three additional yards.
