His middle-of-field coverage against UVA and Penn State was high level — moving with QB eyes, flipping his hips cleanly, and exploding downhill to disrupt passes. He’s fast, fluid, and versatile. Whether it’s robbing crossing routes or fitting into the box to make stops, Trader erases plays before they develop. A true eraser-type safety who diagnoses quickly and finishes. The only downside is some inconsistent effort — a few loafs and late reactions showed up, particularly allowing extra yards after the catch or after initial contact.
