What the tape shows

Allen has impressive down-to-down reliability thanks to good instincts, vision, and contact balance. He isn't truly explosive, lacks break-away speed, and lacks the elite twitch and agility to make defenders miss in a phone booth. He can also be entirely too passive in pass protection, giving up the initiative to defenders. His vision, low pad level, instincts, and four-year consistency are immediately translatable in a gap-heavy scheme. He won't wow anyone with athleticism, but in a class where top runners are injury-compromised or athletically raw, his reliability stands out.
