What the tape shows
After years of underuse at Alabama, Law transferred to Kentucky and immediately became the engine of a quick-game, get-the-ball-in-space passing offense built around keeping him in motion and using screens, flats, and manufactured touches to get the ball into his hands with running room in front of him. Over 77% of his snaps came from the slot in 2025. His average depth of target was 3.4 yards — near the bottom of all qualifying FBS receivers. Only 35 of his receiving yards did not come after the catch. The numbers reveal a player who was, functionally, deployed as a receiving back masquerading as a wide receiver. His release off the line of scrimmage is not clean enough to consistently defeat press coverage in structured man concepts, and his route tree is thin — he was not asked to run a deep route tree at Kentucky, and it shows in the limited variety of his patterns. He is not a player who will create separation with route precision the way his NFL role will demand of him. His blocking, while adequate, is inconsistent on the boundary.
