What the tape shows

Wilson is a quick-twitch, undersized slot receiver who has carved out production at multiple stops. What he lacks in bulk he compensates for with elite explosiveness and short-area quickness. He averaged 13.4 yards per reception in 2025, showing an ability to generate chunk plays that belie his modest frame. His pure athleticism — not his size or route tree — is his calling card. Wilson does not win physical battles. He is not going to stack a press corner, fight through a jam on a curl, or hold his ground on a crossing route when a safety fills the lane at speed. What he can do is disappear and then reappear — his change of direction is sudden, his acceleration out of cuts is quick and decisive, and once he gets open space he is a genuine YAC threat who can turn a short completion into a double-digit gain.
