What the tape shows

The tape reveals a receiver who wins through positioning, size, and contested-catch ability rather than athleticism. He uses his frame effectively at the catch point — attacking the ball at its highest point on 50/50 throws, boxing out smaller corners on back-shoulder fades, and using his length to extend beyond his frame on sideline catches. He is a willing and functional blocker in the run game, which adds genuine every-down value. His zone feel is adequate — he settles into windows and presents himself as a clean throw on schedule. His best work at Notre Dame came on the intermediate routes and red zone fades where his size creates the matchup problem that justifies his draft stock.
