Nico is a dual-threat quarterback, though his skill set leans more heavily toward being a runner who can throw. He thrives in run-first systems that utilize RPOs, play-action concepts, and sprint-outs. As a runner, he displays excellent sideline-to-sideline speed and accelerates quickly north-south; however, lateral agility and shiftiness reduce his overall efficiency in the open field. As a passer, his most accurate throws come when he can put air under the ball. Increased velocity often results in decreased accuracy. Nico manages the game well, typically opting to run when his first read is unavailable.
