What the tape shows
Highly instinctive safety with excellent football IQ and play recognition. Physical, dependable tackler who thrives in run support and rarely misses in space. Outstanding pursuit and closing speed, allowing him to make plays all over the field. Not a lot of film in man coverage but very instinctive in zone coverage. Can be too fast in his back pedal when he doesnt need to be, taking away his ability to make plays on intermediate routes. Needs to have red zone awareness to walk his steps so he can be more involved in everything shorter. Really Solid in his 1/4's Scooch technique. Would like to see him more confident in man/match covg, can give too much ground at times. Love his pursuit angles but he gets away with crossing over at times and it hurt him badly on a play vs Michigan. VERYYY efficient with his feet in and out of his breaks.
